Cowboy Bebop recreates original anime’s opening in live-action

Netflix revealed the opening credits sequence for the upcoming live-action adaptation of the iconic classic anime series Cowboy Bepop.

It recreates the original 1998 anime opening credit sequence with the stars John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, Daniella Pineda, and many more. Yoko Kanno’s famed score “Tank” also returns.

Cowboy Bebop will premiere on Netflix on November 19. The series features John Cho as Spike Spiegel, Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black, and Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine. Other cast members include Alex Hassell, Elena Satine, Tamara Tunie, and Rachel House.

Based on the anime series of the same name, Cowboy Bebop is executive produced by André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg of Midnight Radio, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios, Makoto Asanuma, Shin Sasaki, and Masayuki Ozaki of Sunrise Inc., Tim Coddington, Tetsu Fujimura, Michael Katleman, Matthew Weinberg, and Christopher Yost. Nemec serves as showrunner.

The original anime series director Shinichirō Watanabe is a consultant on the series, and original composer Yoko Kanno returns for the live-action adaptation.
