Makoto Shinkai’s film “Suzume” to premiere in Philippine theaters in March

The highly anticipated anime film “Suzume” will premiere next month in Philippine theaters.

Warner Bros. Picture and Encore Film Philippines announced that Makoto Shinkai’s latest film “Suzume no Tojimari” will premiere on March 8.

“Suzume no Tojimari” was released in Japan in November 2022, marking Shinkai’s first film since 2019’s “Weathering With You.”

The film follows Suzume, a 17-year-old girl who uncovers portal doors that lead to different parts of Japan. She, together with a mysterious young man named Souta embarks on a mission to close the doors and prevent the destruction they bring to the areas they appear in.
