Macross Delta’s Walküre to hold final solo live tour, with live streaming to cinemas worldwide

Tactical Sound Unit Walküre’s final solo live tour “SANKYO presents Walküre FINAL LIVE TOUR 2023 Last Mission” will soon be held, bringing an end to the five-member vocal group’s journey. Walküre, which was formed for the anime series Macross Delta, has participated in live music concerts, festivals, and events since its debut in 2016.

The final performance of the tour will be held on Sunday, June 4, at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall 1-3, and will be live-streamed to cinemas across Japan and Asia, as well as in selected cinemas in North America and Europe in the afternoon of June 4th their local time.

Since its debut, Walküre has been performing to sold-out venues around Japan. In April last year, the group’s live performance at Japan’s Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall attracted a record crowd of 38,000 attendees over two days, the largest in Macross’ history. The group’s first album reached No. 1 on Billboard Japan’s weekly music chart and won numerous awards, including the Japan Gold Disc Award for Animation Album of the Year. Their fourth single, “Mirai wa Onna no tameni aru,” became the first single for Walküre and for the Macross franchise to reach No. 1 on the renowned Japanese Oricon weekly music chart.
