“Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out” is part of a sequel anime project, adapting the eighth and ninth novels in the franchise, together with “Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid.” The latter film is set to premiere in Japan on December 1.

The project retains its original crew, with Sōichi Masui directing at CloverWorks, Masahiro Yokotani managing the scripts, and Satomi Tamura coming back as the character designer. Fans can anticipate Kaede Azusagawa (voiced by Yurika Kubo) performing the solo version of “Fukashigi no Karte” (Mysterious Chart), the theme song that previously featured in the television anime.

Returning cast members include Kaito Ishikawa as Sakuta Azusagawa, Asami Seto as Mai Sakurajima, and several other talented voice actors who brought the characters to life.

The film opened in Japan on June 23, earning 175,648,924 yen (about US$1.28 million) and selling 118,108 tickets within its first three days.
