Japanese alternative rock trio Hitsujibungaku is set to make their Manila debut on July 6, 2024, at 123 Block in Mandaluyong City, Philippines. This marks their first headline show in the city as part of a four-city Asian tour, covering Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Hong Kong.

Tickets for the Manila concert will go on sale starting May 1, 2024, via bit.ly/hitsujibungakuph, from 12 noon onwards. The event, titled “Hitsujibungaku: Live in Manila,” is brought to fans by GNN Entertainment Productions and The Rest Is Noise PH, known for their successful collaboration in bringing Taiwan’s Elephant Gym last year, which sold out within a month.

Comprising Moeka Shiotsuka (vocals, guitar, songwriting), Yurika Kasai (bass), and Hiroa Fukuda (drums), Hitsujibungaku blends dreamy vocals with shoegaze riffs and syrupy noise-pop arrangements. The band has garnered a devoted following, especially with their track “More Than Words,” featured as the finale song for the second season of the popular anime series, Jujutsu Kaisen.

Their fourth studio album, “12 hugs (like butterflies),” released in December 2023, received widespread acclaim from both critics and fans.
