SM Supermalls, in partnership with The Pokémon Company, is bringing Pokémon Fun Day to malls across the Philippines. The event launches at The Block Atrium, SM North EDSA, from January 31 to February 13, offering fans an interactive experience with a supersized Pokémon event space and a six-meter Pikachu inflatable.
The event features Pokémon Trading Card Game tutorial sessions, licensed collectibles, trading cards, and a video game demo area. Attendees can also meet and take photos with Pikachu.
Pokémon Fun Day will go on rounds in different SM malls in Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Iloilo, and Davao from January 2025 until October 2025.
The launch event at SM North EDSA was attended by SM Supermalls Group Head Joaquin L. San Agustin, The Pokémon Company Asia Business Development Corporate Officer Susumu Fukunaga, Animation International Philippines Director Tsutomu Kondo, and RUNRIO Inc. President and CEO Coach Rio Dela Cruz.
In addition to the Pokémon Fun Day tour, SM Mall of Asia will host the Pokémon Run on February 9, 2025. Organized by RUNRIO, the running event features 10K, 5K, 3K, and 1K race categories.
Pokémon remains one of the most popular franchises globally, spanning video games, trading cards, and animated series. The Pokémon Fun Day initiative reinforces the brand’s influence in the Philippines by providing interactive experiences for long-time fans and new audiences alike.
