Singapore-based distribution company Odex Pte Ltd has announced on Tuesday that live-action film Gintama 2: Okite wa Yaburu Tame ni Koso Aru (The Law is Surely There to be Broken) will be released in Philippine cinemas soon.
Odex streamed the promotional trailer on their Facebook page. The film is set to release at SM Cinema but it didn’t announced the premiere date.
Gintama 2 is the second live-action film based on manga series of the same name by Hideaki Sorachi.
The film will feature the same cast as the first film with Yūichi Fukuda directing. It will cover the Shinsengumi Crisis and Shogun Reception arcs of the original manga.
The first Gintama live-action film was released in the Philippines last September 2017.
