Live-action film ‘Nijiiro Days’ to air on Red by HBO this May

The live-action film adaptation of Minami Mizuno’s manga Nijiiro Days is set to air on Red by HBO this May.

Known also as ‘Rainbow Days’, the film will premiere on channel’s “Stay Home Friday” movie block on May 24 at 10 P.M. (PHT).

The channel describes the film as follows:

Based on a manga of the same name, this Japanese coming-of-age story follows the colourful lives and romantic relationships of four high school boys – Natcchan, a lovable, bright, pure-hearted boy, Mattsun, a flirtatious playboy, Tsuyupon, an intelligent otaku who does everything at his own pace and Kei-chan, who is always cheerful but harbors sadistic fetishes. Changes occur in their silly, playful, and fun-filled lives when Natcchan, who is awkward with girls, falls in love with his schoolmate Anna.

Nijiiro Days‘ Nacchan is played by Generations from Exile Tribe’s Sano Reo Other cast members include Taishi Nakagawa as Mattsun, Mahiro Takasugi as Tsuyopon and Ryusei Yokohama as Kei-chan.

Red by HBO is available in the Philippines on Cignal Channel 50 and Skycable Channel 74.
