Japanese rock band RADWIMPS to rock Manila in May 2024

Fans of Japanese rock band RADWIMPS are in for a treat as the group is set to perform in Manila on May 1 at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

According to PULP Live World, the concert promoter, the show is part of the band’s RADWIMPS World Tour 2024 “The way you yawn and the outcry of Peace”, which will also visit Singapore, Bangkok, Taipei, and Hong Kong.

Tickets for the RADWIMPS concert in Manila will go on sale on March 2, at 12 noon via Ticketnet outlets nationwide and online at www.Ticketnet.com.ph. Ticket prices range from PHP 2,500 for Box B seats to PHP 6,000 for Platinum seats or standing area.

RADWIMPS was formed in 2001 in Kanagawa, Japan and has released 13 studio albums, including their latest one, “Suzume”, which became the soundtrack to the Makoto Shinkai’s 2022 animated film of the same name. They are widely acclaimed for their musical versatility, blending rock, pop, rap, and folk elements.

The band is also famous for their collaboration with renowned anime director Makoto Shinkai, who chose them to compose the soundtrack for his blockbuster films “Your Name” (2016) and “Weathering With You” (2019). Both films were huge hits in Japan and abroad, earning multiple awards and nominations.
